CHARITY AND PHILANTHROPY

According to WIKIPEDIA ,
The practice of charity means the voluntary giving of help to those in need. Charity is humanitarian act of temporal principle.
Philanthropy means "love of humanity" in the sense of caring, nourishing, developing and enhancing "what it is to be human" on both the benefactors' (by identifying and exercising their values in giving and volunteering) and beneficiaries' (by benefiting) parts. The most conventional modern definition is "private initiatives, for public good, focusing on quality of life".
Instances of philanthropy commonly overlap with instances of charity though not all charity is philanthropy, or vice versa. The difference commonly cited is that charity relieves the pains of social problems, whereas philanthropy attempts to solve those problems at their root causes (the difference between giving a hungry man a fish, and teaching him how to fish for himself).

We should try to do charity & philanthropy both. It is all the same to a person who needs help. Also we will not look whether we are doing charity or philanthropy. Hope you will not bother with thing like this.
Every one have to care only how to make a life meaningful. We are human being. So we can't just live our life as usual. There are lots of things to do before leaving this world. Charity work or philanthropy is that kind of work that we have to do as a human. Your little help can bring smile to the life of other poor that you are not known at all.
